SEPARATION OF HISTOPATHOLOGY AND CYTOPATHOLOGY IN APPLICATIONS FOR ACCREDITATION

It is now agreed that separate applications for histopathology and cytology will no longer be accepted. If Histopathology/Cytology laboratories are integrated then one application form will be accepted. If there are two applications then the departments must be able to demonstrate that they are clearly separate for staffing, reporting etc. No further submissions for separated Cytology departments from combined Histopathology/Cytology departments will be allowed in future.
