Use of Grade B Clinical Scientists and BMS Grade 3 as assessors

CPA has received a number of enquiries from these grades of staff to become CPA assessors.

CPA conducts a peer review system and as such is required to ensure that this approach is maintained.

It has been agreed that if applications are received from Grade B Clinical Scientists or BMS3/3* they will be reviewed on a case by case basis as generic guidelines are not appropriate.

If the individual is the highest BMS or Clinical Scientist in their own department then the application will be considered. An individual assessors job description is more relevant than the job grade and must be taken into consideration.
