| CPA agreement regarding Conditional Approval There have been a number of occasions when we have had to chase applicants for a response to the conditions for accreditation because the expiry date has lapsed. This is done on a monthly basis at the present time. For some departments we have sent several reminders sometimes for longer than a year after the conditional approval expiry date. This is a time consuming exercise but most importantly, during this period CPA are not aware of the current state of compliance with CPA standards. The CPA Board have agreed that it is inappropriate for CPA to accept delays in responding to conditions unless there are extenuating circumstances. This is to explain that CPA will require departments to respond to conditions no later than the agreed expiry date. Subsequent to that date if no reply has been received, one reminder letter will be sent out by registered post. Departments not meeting this criteria may be at risk of losing registration with CPA. Please note: This letter has been sent to all departments currently holding conditional approval with CPA. |
